If you are looking for a software application that will encrypt your webpages, then you will find what you’re looking for in HTML Guard. To my mind, there are several bits and pieces you are going to like about the Wulfsoft-developed application HTML Guard. There’s also a tiny, little bit that you may not like. But let’s start on a positive note, with the things you are going to like.

First and foremost, you are going to like what HTML Guard can do for you. With this application you can protect your web pages. HTML Guard allows you to encrypt the source code of your web pages and restrict browser functions such as text selection, right click menu, or print.

You do not have to worry that protecting your website with HTML Guard will somehow mess up its looks. You don’t have to worry because HTML Guard does not change the way the site looks; the site’s original looks are maintained. The visitor will be able to easily view the site in any JavaScript-enabled browser.

To take advantage of this application, you must first download it. Since the download weighs in at some 2.9MB, you will like that it will take very little time to get HTML Guard off the web and onto your computer. I don’t know about you, but I don’t really like to wait for a download that takes forever to complete – which is definitely not the case in this situation.

After the download comes the installation. You will like that HTML Guard provides support for all Windows versions starting with Windows 2000 onward. This means it can easily be installed on top of Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7.

The interface of HTML Guard has a graphical form and is based on a wizard containing a series of steps. The first one involves loading the desired HTML file or complete HTML folder into the program. After setting up some options, all the HTML files will be automatically protected, preventing anyone from copying and reusing the source code.

Pros

The interface is very simple to use. Besides that, the program can encrypt the source code of any webpage, making it impossible to reuse. Furthermore, it allows you to select which part of the code you wish to encrypt.

Cons

The number of options may seem overwhelming for a beginner. HTML Guard is the perfect software for protecting the source code of any web page.
